In one of the best movie scenes Ravi’s character is beautifully introduced. It doesn’t take long for viewers to learn about his true colors. Ammu’s world begins to crumble when she learns about Ravi’s abusive and believable behavior. The rest of the story is about how Ammu dealt with domestic violence and whether she was successful in teaching her husband a lesson.

Ammu (2022) will surely be one of the most important films of the year. It takes a very relevant point that has been a topic of discussion for a long time and gives a very interesting spin on how the film ends. One can think of the story and state all the possible outcomes. But the ending of the film still surprises you. Rather than acting as an awareness-raising film about family abuse, Ammu addresses important issues that need to be taken into account when it comes to women’s involvement in marriage.
